….the tone of your reply and lack of a coherent argument confirms that the SNP are incapable of debating the matter . The Union is of much more value than the spurious promises of an SNP run Scotland .

Perhaps the best recourse of action is to demand that Westminster instigates a full public inquiry into the manner in which Scotland is being and has been governed . Otherwise it would be patently unwise to allow Devolution to continue any longer on the grounds that it was constitutionally unsafe .

Depressing in the extreme. Nationalist tendrils have inveigled their way into every aspect of Scottish public life with shocking consequences. And still they moan that Westminster is the corrupt establishment!

Another excellent analysis of our parliament’s toxic combination of incompetence and secrecy. The UK government should step in and re-arrange the structures which lead to these failings. The most obvious requirements are more powers for the Auditor, parliamentary committees and, above all, ending the incestuous role of the Lord Advocate in the cabinet.

Andrew , the current government ,the most corrupt administration etc . I refer to what I said earlier . Sturgeon is both corrupt but worse still she is also incompetent . Scotland has not prospered under her so called leadership….if you can’t see that , there’s no hope .

Andrea , I apologise for misunderstanding your comment . Unfortunately Sturgeon has relied upon attacking the ‘Big Bad Nasty Tories’ in order to deflect away from her own failings . What many choose to forget is that the PM has been dealt a pretty bad hand of cards …..sorting out Brexit , covid , Illegal immigration and the Ukraine war . ……in the meantime Sturgeon hasn’t had to face any crisis apart from dealing with her own constant ineptitude .

Excellent comments Stephen we are sinking into more corruption everyday ,the comments of a certain Andrew on this page are absurd in denial and support of said corruption !

Andrea , I do but on the other hand if you’re so indifferent , why did you bother commenting .

“Paid attack dog “ ….that’s an unfortunate and nasty turn of phrase . I reiterate …..the subject of Stephen Daisley’s piece was the corrupt manner in which the SG was running Scotland and you continue to to introduce the PM and the Tory led Government into the discussion . Don’t you have anything at all to say in support of Sturgeon and her cabal ?

Andrew ,there are none so blind that will not see . Besides you constantly talk about the PM …..it’s Scotland we’re concerned about here and how badly it’s being governed .

I didn’t lie, old bean. I asked a question which you have answered illustrating the two areas of Sturgeon’s competence. How about the boats?

Oh I understood Daisley’s article and related points perfectly adequately. Your patronising tone has added nothing to to my understanding. Your list, even if the contested points it contains were all correct only emphasises the role of

Daisley as a mere paid attack dog. The Tory government has a list of failures, corruption and disasters long enough to break the hardest heart. I fear the Johnsonian

Era has now broken the union. Sturgeon is pretty competent. Johnson is a horror show.

Amen. But nobody cares, do they.

This isn’t journalism. Constant anti SNP propaganda. Two late ferries… if this is all the union has? It is over.
