I’ve joined Substack as a way to share my writing on everything from Scottish and UK politics to Israel and antisemitism, as well as liberalism, nationalism, progressivism and even some things that don’t end in ‘ism’.
There will be opinion and analysis but with the odd spot of humour thrown in, too. There may or may not be references to pugs, who are the awesomest dogs in all recorded history. (Factcheck rating: INDISPUTABLY TRUE.)
You might already follow me on Twitter or Facebook but sometimes posts can get overlooked amid the blizzard of tweets and status updates. Signing up means you won’t miss anything. Since the newsletter will mainly republish or link to my writing for other publications, it is free of charge, though down the line I might consider writing separate, Substack-only pieces if there’s an audience for them. I’ll want your input on that if and when the time comes. For now, though, we’re going to pretend that I know what I’m doing. (Factcheck rating: DISPUTED.)
Thanks again, and please tell a few friends if you like the newsletter. Or if you hate it. I’m not above accepting hate-reads.
